Kathmandu – A massive new poster for the highly anticipated Nepali film *Balidan*, set to release during this year’s grand Phulpati celebration of Dashain, has been unveiled. Measuring 60 feet in height and 16 feet in width, the poster was installed and revealed on Thursday on the exterior of Lhotse Mall at Gongabu Bus Park in Kathmandu. The poster vividly conveys the film’s tone, style, and purpose, successfully capturing public attention.
The poster features actor Sameer Bhatt in a bloodied, wounded, and enraged pose, wielding a weapon resembling a spear against a colossal humanoid figure. His expression reflects anger, courage, and the spirit of sacrifice. The imagery—dark clouds overhead, shadowed earth below, and blazing fire in the background—enhances the poster’s symbolic and cinematic depth. These elements collectively hint at the film’s intense conflict and patriotic message.
Upon the poster’s release, director Santosh Sen declared that *Balidan* marks the beginning of a cinematic revolution. He said, “*Balidan* is the start of a cinematic revolution. After multiple phases of filming, editing, and creative dedication, we can proudly say this is more than just a film—it’s a movement: ‘This life for sacrifice.’ The carefully crafted visuals, attention to detail, and emotional investment in every frame have given the film a powerful cinematic structure.”
According to Sen, *Balidan* is poised to stand out even among a flood of international films due to its inner strength, deep storyline, and refined presentation. The team has launched a nationwide promotional tour through the *Balidan Banner*, aiming to reach audiences from villages to cities, and every local community.
An earlier poster featured actor Saugat Malla in a strong and enigmatic avatar. Likewise, a pre-teaser released on lead actor Sameer Bhatt’s birthday received significant attention. Character-introduction posters of Sameer Bhatt and lead actress Kavita Rai have also garnered notable interest since the film’s announcement.
Presented by Asusen Films Pvt. Ltd., *Balidan* stars Sameer Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Kavita Rai, Arpan Thapa, Richa Sharma, Hemant Budhathoki, and Prem Puri. The film is produced by Pawan Bradford Bista, with Prem Puri as the executive producer.
